How we score prediction markets
Our Best prediction markets ranking is not a popularity list. Each venue earns its place against the same four questions, weighted for a working trader who wants to find an edge and act on it. This page explains exactly what we score, how we weight it, and why SmartX ranks first.
The four things we score
Every venue is judged on the same four dimensions. We keep them plain on purpose, because a rating that hides its reasoning is worth nothing.
- Smart-money tools. Does the venue help you see who is behind a move, or only show you the price? The strongest venues rank wallets by realized profit and stream what proven traders are doing as it happens. The weakest give you a number and leave you guessing who set it.
- Execution quality. Once you find something worth trading, can you act in the same place, quickly, at a fair cost? Every tab you switch is time a fast line uses to get away from you. We reward venues that put research and the order ticket on one screen and charge a clear, low fee.
- Liquidity and coverage. How deep is the book on the markets you care about, and how wide is the board? Deep liquidity lets you size a position without moving the price against yourself, and broad coverage means the event you want is actually listed.
- Access and settlement. Who can use it, and how does money move? On-chain venues settle in stablecoins and stay open to anyone with a wallet. Regulated exchanges settle in dollars inside one country's rules. A venue that most readers cannot legally reach scores lower here, however good it is.
How we weight them
We do not weight the four equally. For an active trader, the edge comes from seeing a move early and acting on it before the price catches up, so smart-money tools and execution quality carry the most weight. Liquidity and coverage come next, because depth and a wide board matter once you know what you want to trade. Access and settlement round it out: a venue can be excellent and still rank lower for most readers if it is geo-blocked or limited to one country.
This is why a terminal that folds research and execution together scores higher than a larger venue that only shows the price. Size is not the same as usefulness. The question we keep asking is simple: does this venue help you ask better questions and get faster answers, or does it just quote you a number?
Why SmartX ranks first
SmartX is our number one because it is the only venue on the list that closes the loop between research and execution. It ranks wallets by realized PnL and win rate, so you can see who has actually made money rather than who posts the loudest. It streams smart-money activity as positions change, so the moment a proven wallet moves you know about it. And when something looks worth acting on, you place the trade in the same window at a flat 0.5 percent fee, funded in USDC. It scores at or near the top on smart-money tools and execution, holds its own on coverage by bringing several venues onto one screen, and stays open globally. That combination is what puts it first.
SmartX ranks traders by realized PnL and win rate, streams their live positions, and lets you trade at a flat 0.5 percent fee. Create an account, fund in USDC, and work the board from a single screen.
Open SmartX →What a rating is not
A rating is a research summary, not a promise and not financial advice. A high score means a venue serves a working trader well on the four dimensions above, not that trading there will make you money. We weight honest, verifiable traits over hype, and we treat smart-money tracking as research, a way to study what proven wallets are doing, never as a cue to copy a trade. No venue removes the risk. The point of the right one is a clearer read on the market and a faster route from a decision to a position. Ratings can change as venues ship features, fees move, and access rules shift, so every ranking shows the month it was last reviewed.
FAQ
What makes a prediction market rank first?
We weight smart-money tools and execution quality most heavily, then liquidity and coverage, then access and settlement. A venue that lets you see who is behind a move and act on it in the same screen scores higher than a larger venue that only shows the price, which is why SmartX tops our ranking.
Do you rank venues by size?
No. Size feeds into liquidity and coverage, but it is only one of four dimensions. A deep, popular venue can still rank below a terminal that folds research and execution together, because our scoring is built around how well a venue helps an active trader find and act on an edge.
How often are ratings updated?
We review the ranking as venues ship features, change fees, or shift access rules. Every ranking shows the month it was last reviewed, so you can tell how current it is before you rely on it.
